Meine Frau hat gut vier Jahre in Irland gelebt und gearbeitet, deshalb kommen bei uns immer wieder mal irische Gerichte auf den Tisch. Das Irish Stew geh\u00f6rt zu den traditionsreichsten irischen Rezepten und darf auf keiner Pub-Speisekarte fehlen. Urspr\u00fcnglich war es ein \u201earme-Leute-Essen\u201c, bei dem Reste verwertet wurden. F\u00fcr Gew\u00fcrze oder geduldig am Herd stehen, waren weder Zeit noch Geld da. Die Menschen mussten auf das Feld und nebenbei k\u00f6chelte das Essen.
